So the next time you are in the area, drop in, and see for yourself!
Richard Drummond
Partner in business, Richard has a background in water sports having spent his youth teaching waterskiing, windsurfing and flat water canoeing at Lochearnhead Water sports Centre.Richard enjoys trail riding, preferring to go down rather than up as it involves a lot less effort. On the paddling side he enjoys Sea kayaking and playing around in the surf, although not particularly good at either. Richard is no longer based full time in the shops as he and Sandra moved down to the Criffel Inn, near Dumfries in 2007. If you travel the A9 a lot there is a fair chance you would have passed him trailing kayaks north.
Sandra Drummond
Partner in business. Grew up the reverse of Richard by concentrating on her schooling and career development. Sandra is a Chartered Accountant providing the grey matter for the business.
After years of studying Sandra now wants to stop growing up and play! Sandra also mountain bikes and road bikes but not as often as she would like.
Martin MacBeath
Martin is the Head Bike Mechanic for Fat Tread Bikes.
Martin has a background in BMX racing as well as Cross Country Mountain Bike Racing. Martin has a passion for the weird and wonderful, if you need to know about 29ers or single speed he is the man to seek out. Martin recently took up body boarding and then moved on to surfing. We may get him in a kayak at some point soon!
Neil Turnbull
Neil owns a bike but we have asked him politely not to ride it to work as it is not considered to be a good advert for us!
Philip Hall
Phil is our newest member of staff joining us last summer from Aberdeen. Phil is keen on mountain biking currently riding an Ironhorse MK111 He has worked in the industry for a number of years. More recently he has gotten in to kayaking and tries to participate in either mountain biking or kayaking as often as possible.
